Explore the endless plains of the east, west, north and southern parts of Uganda in East Africa. A day In Kampala; hours at the Nile, a day in Sipi, two days in Kidepo Valley National Park; two days in Murchison Falls; a day at Semuliki, a day in Kibale Forest National Park; two days in Queen Elizabeth National Park; two days in Bwindi Impenetrable national park; hours in Semuiliki National Park; and a perfect exploration of Lake Bunyonyi; meet with mother nature in this 20 days Uganda safari.

This is a road trip, starting and ending at Entebbe International Airport, with well-planned meals, transfers, activities and accommodation options.

Detailed Trip

Day1: Arrival In Kampala

After landing at Entebbe international airport, you will clear with the immigration office, and thereafter meet and greet our driver guide, who will welcome you to the pearl of Africa. The sight to stare at is Lake Victoria; the largest fresh water lake on the African continent.

After introducing the country and the 20-day trip, you will be driven to the hotel for check-in and refreshment. An optional city tour can be arranged in case you arrive early. End this day with dinner and an overnight nap.

Day 2: Depart Kampala for Sipi-river Nile enroute

Wake up for a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. Thereafter, you will hit the eastern trail route through a road that enables you to define what traffic Jam is, and roadside Business. A taste of the roadside chicken, banana (Gonja) Rolex, Roosted meat; and more is fun and exciting.

Drive passed Mabira Forest (one of the oldest natural forests In Uganda), to Jinja where the magical River bridge awaits.

At Jinja city, you will stop for Lunch, and to have a boat ride to the source of the Nile (Arguably the longest river on earth). Later, we shall proceed with the drive to Sipi Falls, while watching the lush plantation cover, dotted homesteads, and rolling mountains. Sunset arrival at the lodge for refreshment and dinner. Day 3: Explore Sipi Fall

Kick-start your day with a sunrise view, and a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge. At about 10:00 hrs, we start the trek to the three mighty falls of Sipi.

This Journey takes about 2-3 hours, with the guide explaining the history, and facts about the falls, and the people who live there. You will see and learn of some plantations such as coffee, bananas, and more, which are used for commercial and domestic purposes in the region.

The three falls are in Levels, which you will be guided to all while listening and taking videos of the deafening sounds.  Personalize the moment by taking a shore under the waterfall. Sipi is situated at the edges of Mount Elgon; one of the tallest mountains in the continent of Africa.

After the Sippi tour, you will return to the lodge for refreshment and late Lunch. The evening is for relaxation, or optionally taking a tour of the local community to uncover the Sabin culture, food, and homesteads.  End this day with dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Sipi to Kidepo Valley NP

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge in Sipi and Hit the road to Kidepo Valley National Park, with a stopover at Nyero Rock Painting. The Nyero rock painting is an ancient art yet to be interpreted by modern explorers.

You will try tracing the line in the caves in a bid to interpret the wordings. After, take photos and proceed with the journey with another stopover for Lunch. The rolling Hills, Africa-style homesteads, and more will welcome you to the northern part of Uganda as you drive to the park where the check-in to the lodge will be in the evening. End this day with a peaceful nap and after dinner and a campfire experience.

Day 5: Game drive and Karamojong experience

Wake up very early in the morning for a game drive experience in the open Narus, and other parts of the park. Hopefully, you encounter the night hunters, and hard-to-encounter animals present at the park such as hyenas, lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Some more to add to the list include; the ostrich, elephants, buffalos, several antelope species, warthogs, buffaloes, and more. More to the birds, the permanent river, animals and plants, is the stunning landscape (one of a kind in the world). The Game drive takes about 3-4 hours, after which you will have a break for breakfast and Lunch.

In the evening hours, you will have to visit the Karamojong community for a cultural and historical tour. Regardless of the fast-changing modern trends, the Karamojongs are still holding to their culture as herdsmen, and exhibit to all visitors through stories, dances, and community tours of the Manyattas and cattle kraals. They are renowned cattle keepers, who pride in cows and their products. End this day with a return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Murchison Fall welcomes you

At daybreak, have breakfast, and hit the road to Murchison Falls National Park (the largest and oldest national park in Uganda), with the four of the big cats, and the world’s most powerful waterfall.

The Journey offers a stunning view of rolling Hills, mountain backdrops, lush plantations and the open waters. You will have a lunch stopover in Gulu city, before proceeding to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drive and Boat cruise

Start your day with a breakfast meal at the lodge. Afterwards, go on a 3-4 hour game drive in the northern part of the park where the ranger guide will help you identify the different birds, plants, primates, reptiles, prey and predators.

The wish list might be along, though centering on luck. Lions, leopards, Buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, whistling acacia, crested cranes, Egyptian geese, elephants, and more, makeup the day’s list.

The ranger guide will explain facts about the different animals, and different attractions around the park. Enjoy the stunning view of the landscape, plants and more. Afterword’s, you will have a lunch break.

In the afternoon hours, have a boat cruise to the bottom of the most powerful waterfall-Murchison Falls, with the view of among others the Nile crocodiles, Hippos, the different animals by the lake shore, aquatic birds, swamp land, and more. Day8: Murchison to Kibale Forest NP

Chimpanzee Tracking in Uganda

After breakfast, You will depart Murchison Fall National park for Kibale forest National forest with an exit game viewing, photography, and watching the botany.

The journey time is approximately 7-8 hours, with the view of the rolling hills, scattered homesteads and busy towns.

You will have an en-route stopover for Lunch, before proceeding to the lodge check-in, followed by dinner and overnight.

Day9: chimp trekking and Bigodi swamp

Wake up for a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a transfer to the park headquarters for the morning chimpanzee trekking experience.

The ranger guides will meet and greet you, going ahead to brief on the trekking dos and don’ts, history and attractions in the park.

Chimpanzees are some of the most active and cleverest primates in the Kibale forest, where they cohabit with other 12 primate species such as the baboons, white and black Columbus monkeys, the grey checked monkeys, and more. The trek lasts for approximately 1-4 hours, plus an additional hour for watching and taking photos.

These primates have a unique behavior such as how to eat, sounds they make, and the care of the mothers towards the young ones. While in the forest, you get to uncover among others the forest birds, unique plants species, and more.

Having studied the unique character of the chimpanzees, have a lunch break, followed by an evening drive to Bigodi swamp for a hike. At Bigodi swamp, you will look out for among other the different primates such as the baboons; birds, the local natives and stories. End this day with dinner and overnight stay

Day10: Birding and Hot springs In Semuliki NP

Wake up for a rewarding cup of coffee. Afterwards, drive to Semiliki National Park while enjoying the stunning view of the landscape, the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori backdrop, and more. Semiliki forest is a contingent of Ituri forest and is home to 40% of the total population of bird species in Uganda.

As you walk to the forest, there is a lot to uncover of the birdlife, such as the sound, color, nets, and origin. The lush forest is with some plants of interests.

Forest primates and mammals. Among the many residents to lookout for include; the hornbills, sunbirds, cranes, geese, the storks, and more. The forest hike takes you to the Sempaya hot springs, to learn about the formation and its uniqueness; and take photos among more. After exploring Semiliki, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 11: Crater tour & to Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast, you will have a tour around the different crater lakes around fort portal city.

The guide gives you time to study crater formation, take photos, and have a canoe ride for a much more experiential moment. After,

Lunch will be in the tourism city of Fort Portal, before hitting the road to the most visited National park in the country. Arrive and check in to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 12: Game drive and Boat cruise

Lake Mburo National Park

First thing today will be a mouthwatering breakfast, then a 3-4 hour game drive offering a chance of encountering among others the nocturnal and night hunters run to their hideout, as the grazers wake up. Look out for among others; the lions, hyenas, Oribis, buffalos, warthogs, hippos, several antelope species and more; the birds such as the lover birds, crested cranes, egrets and more; the stunning landscape, tree cover and the open wilderness. You will learn a lot concerning this savannah grassland, prey, and predators. Afterwards, you will have bush breakfast, and lunch later.

After game drive, you will spend the evening on a boat cruise at Kazinga channel, where you get to take photos, watch the aquatic mammals such as hippos and crocodiles, take in the cool lake breeze , and more for 2-3 hours. When off the boat, return to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 13: Lion Trekking

Wake up to a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter go for an early lion experiential tour in the open savannah. This is to discover the life of the lions; the King of the jungle. You will learn how lions feed, mark their territories, hunt, sleep, and roar.

The lion family under study are tracked for you to have a one on one with them. You might chance them resting, making a kill, or on a chase of among others the antelopes, warthogs, Buffaloes and more. After, return to the lodge for Lunch and a free evening. End your day with dinner and a peaceful nap.  

Day14: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

Tree-Climbing Lions in Ishasha

Star your day with a tasty cup of coffee, followed by a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, where there will be an enroute stopover at the Ishasha sector for Lunch and looking for the rare tree climbing lions.

Afterword’s, proceed to the park where you will be welcomed with lush trees and cool climate. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 15: Gorilla Trekking

Very early in the morning, you will be served with an energizing breakfast meal. Afterwards, with a packed lunch, trekking outfit and documents, transfer to the headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing and registration.

The briefing takes about thirty minutes, with the ranger guides explaining the trekking dos and don’ts, assigning you to a gorilla family and accompanying you through the Jungle.

Depending on your trekking speed and how far the Apes have moved, you will spend 1-8 hours, visiting the area they were last spotted while following the jungle sound, broken tree branches, and more.

Deep in the forest, you will uncover unique plant species, birds, other primates and forest mammals. Bwindi hosts the largest concentration of mountain gorillas in the Virunga network.  Gorillas live in families, led by an alpha male with a silver-like lining at the back-a silverback. It is a magical moment spending an hour in the presence, while taking photos, asking questions, and watching the interactions. End this day with dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 16: Volcano Hike

At day break, have an energizing breakfast meal at the lodge, and on a good hiking boot, go hike the three mountains of Volcanoes ranges which make up the vast Virunga chain of mountains. It is a 5-6 hour ascension and dissension, with a chance of encountering numerous birds, primates and reptiles inhabiting the place.

During the hike, you will watch and be told of plants that are local herbs; the formation of the mountains, and its Uniqueness. You will have Lunch in the Jungle but return to the lodge at sunset for refreshments, dinner and a sweet slumber.

Day 17: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Brighten your morning with a cup of coffee at the lodge. Thereafter, check out and hit the road to Lake Bunyonyi; a 2-3 hour drive with the view of different plantations,

African style homes, rolling hills, and dotted homesteads. Proceed to your lodge for check-in, refreshment, and Lunch.

The cool evening hours is for relaxation and sunset view. Dinner and overnight marks the end of this day.

Day 18-19: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will spend the entire day exploring Lake Bunyonyi and its wonders. Taking a glance at the eye-catching landscape, the trees, birds and the open lake. The over 29 islands surrounding making the lake will be visited on a canoe boat, with the guide explaining about them, the history, and the present inhabitants.

After the canoe ride and lunch, you may do swimming, bird watching, sport fishing, guided nature walk and more as per your experience. This is a great place with a serene environment, cool weather, and stunning landscape. The lake is bilharzia free, and one of the deepest freshwater lakes in the world.

Day 20: Departure

At day break, you will depart after breakfast on an 8-9 hour drive to Entebbe international airport while enjoying the lush greenery, open waters, African homesteads and busy towns. You will have an enroute stopover for Lunch, and equator view. Late arrival in Entebbe for your flight. Thank you for choosing us.
