DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kinigi
Our 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tracking & Hiking Safari Journey starts with a safari guide meeting you at Kigali International Airport. Depending on your arrival time, your safari guide may suggest you visit Kigali city, touring places like the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi. You will then continue to Kinigi at the bottom hills of the Volcanoes. Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge or Hotel Gorilla
Day 2: Tracking Gorillas in Parc Nationale des Volcans
After an Early breakfast, we shall go to the park headquarters for briefing. Get ready for gorilla tracking touring Park De Volcanoes. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a thrilling experience.
If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas in just few minutes, spend an hour with them, and be back at the lodge! Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can takes a full day, especially when it is muddy and wet.
After the trekking, if time allows have lunch at Ruhengeri and an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (Lake Bulera & Ruhondo).
Dinner and Overnight at Kinigi guest house/Mt Gorilla Nest Lodge
Day 3: Hiking the Bisoke Ranges
Hiking the Bisoke starts early in the morning, a park ranger will accompany you to the top of the volcano.
On a clear day you will enjoy the beautiful Crater Lake and the views of the other Virunga volcanoes.
Incredible views in all directions, shady bamboo forest, lushly forested slopes and an exciting climb.
After your trip you will transfer to Kigali for overnight at Hotel Rwanda.
Day 4: Kigali City tour and Departure
You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Kigali Airport for your flight. Depending on your departure time, if you missed the opportunity on your first day, you will have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi.
Thereafter, transfer to the Airport for your departure flight. This marks the end of our 4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tracking & Hiking Safari.
