This 8 days Uganda and Rwanda safari is an adventure into the wild wonders of Uganda and Rwanda. It is your opportunity to create a signature of memories as you discover the hidden gems of Africa. The safari will involve activities like gorilla trekking, game drives, golden monkey trekking, chimpanzee tracking and cultural tours. You will visit national parks like Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable and Volcanoes National Parks. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Museum and learn about the remains of thousands that lost their lives during the 1994 bloody revolution in Rwanda. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast or upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about your 8 days in Uganda and Rwanda Safari. You will then embark on the drive to Kibale National Park – the primate capital of the world. As you drive to the park, you will drive through plantations, trading centres and rolling hills of Uganda. Lunch will be en route. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you will go to the information center for briefing about chimpanzee tracking. Kibale national park is a renowned safari destination in Africa for chimpanzee trekking. Upon encountering with the chimps, you will be allowed to spend one hour in their presence.
Return to your lodge for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, check out of the lodge and embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park – A medley of wonders. As you draw closer to the park, you will enjoy scenic views of the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains.

Day 3: Morning game drive and afternoon Boat cruise
After a breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of the park. You will meet animals like elephants, antelopes, lions, leopards, buffaloes amd many more. You will also visit Lake Katwe and experience salt mining activities.
Return to your lodge for relaxation and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go to Kazinga Channel for a boat ride. You will discover several animals on the waters of Kazinga Channel like crocodiles and hippos. It is a chance for you to interact with the locals while they do fishing at the channel.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and embark on an en-route game drive in the Ishasha sector.
This sector is famous for being home to the rare tree-climbing lions. You may land on a pride of lions hunting down an antelope or warthog. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with an en route lunch. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and spend the night over.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community experience
This is a primate day on your 8 days Uganda and Rwanda Safari. It starts with breakfast at your lodge followed by briefing at the park headquarters.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. You spend hours in the impenetrable thickets in search of these giant apes. Upon meeting them, you will spend one hour in their presence.
Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the evening, you will visit the neighbouring Batwa communities for an amazing cultural experience. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and cross to Rwanda via the Kyanika boarder to Volcanoes National Park. Lunch will be en route and the evening at leisure. You will drive through the endless rolling hills of Kigezi and Rwanda. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge have dinner and spend the night over.

Day 7: Golden Monkey trekking and Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village tour
After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for a briefing. You will start your golden monkey trekking adventure in the forests of Volcanoes National Park.
The park is home to other primates such as mountain gorillas and white colobus monkeys. The park is also a prime birding destination; you should thus expect to encounter several bird species.
After your golden monkey trekking, you will return to your lodge for lunch.
In the evening, you will visit the Ibyi’wacu Cultural Village for a massive Rwanda community tours. Enjoy the Rwandese traditional dances, local meals, and hand-made products. Later on, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Transfer to Kigali and city tour – Departure
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive through Rwanda’s endless roiling hills to Kigali city- Africa’s cleanest city. You will visit the Genocide Museum and dive into emotional tales related to thousands of Rwandese who succumbed to the 1994 bloody Rwanda Revolution. Visit the Nyamatta Church for greater historical experiences. Lunch will be at any hotel around the city. The driver guide will drop you at either a hotel of your choice in Kigali city or at Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight. This marks the end of your amazing 8 days of Uganda and Rwanda Safari.
