Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet our professional driver guide. He or she will brief you about your 10-day Safari in Uganda. You will then drive to Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda’s biggest national park. Rhino tracking at Ziwa is a must-do to start your Uganda Big Five adventure safari. Lunch will be en route.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise, and hike to the top of the falls
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive and spot multiple animals such as lions, leopards, antelopes, etc. You will encounter hundreds of birds as well. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the River Nile – the world’s longest River. You will encounter hundreds of hippos as well as crocodiles.
Many animals converge at the river to quench their thirst in the afternoon hours. The boat will take you to the bottom of the falls and you will hike to the top.
Meet your driver guide and transfer back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kibale National Park. Along the way, you will enjoy the landscape sceneries.
Upon arrival at the park, check in to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi wetland walk
After a delicious breakfast, go for the briefing at the Park’s information centre for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale National Park is the primate capital of the world. It is home to the human-like chimpanzees. You will also encounter other primates like L’Hoest’s monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, Mantled Guereza, blue monkeys, Uganda mangabeys, Uganda red colobus monkeys, Black-and-white colobuses, Grey-cheeked mangabeys, Vervet monkeys, and Red colobuses. For bird lovers, Kibale is a reliable place to go birding. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a walk in the Bigodi wetland area. Here, you will visit the locals as well as see multiple bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enjoy the spectacular distant views of the Rwenzori Mountains. You may visit the Fort Portal city or Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru if time allows. Lunch will be en route.

Day 6: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga Channel
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. You will encounter animals like elephants, buffaloes, and several antelope species. You may as well visit the Katwe salt mining area before returning to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise at Kazinga Channel. This Channel is a famous area for Elephants, crocodiles, and the biggest concentration of hippos. Animals converge here to drink water making it a perfect animal spotting zone.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Morning game drive (Ishasha Sector) and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 7 of your 10 days Safari in Uganda is yours to watch the rare tree-climbing lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It starts with a delicious breakfast and then an en-route game drive.
During the game drive, you may get a chance to spot the giant lions climbing in the tree branches in the Ishasha sector. Other animals like buffaloes, waterbucks and topis can be spotted here as well. Continue with an en-route lunch to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Dinner and overnight will be at your earlier booked lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community experience
After breakfast, you will go to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking. The activity may take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Upon encountering the gorillas, you will spend one hour in their presence as you watch them play and dine. Return to your lodge with a fully signed gorilla trekking certificate. Have lunch and relax.
In the evening, you will visit the Batwa communities for an amazing cultural experience. Take part in their dances, meals, and fire-making.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi tour and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After an early breakfast you will transfer to lake Bunyonyi, you will go for a boat ride or canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi. Visit some of the many Islands while learning the stories attached to each. Explore the villages and hike the hills neighboring the lake for beautiful scenery.
You will then embark on the drive to Lake Mburo National Park with an en-route lunch. If time allows, you may visit the Igongo Cultural Centre and hike to the Eclipse Monument.
Upon arrival, check in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 10: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala – Departure
After breakfast, you will take on a game drive in the park. Lake Mburo National Park can be explored in a single game drive, there is nothing to be left behind. You will see buffaloes, Impalas, Waterbucks, zebras, giraffes, leopards, spotted hyenas, and Roan antelopes, to mention but a few.
Exit through Nshara gate and drive to Kampala. You will stop over for lunch and an Equator experience. The driver will drop you at either a hotel of your choice in Kampala or at the airport for your outbound flight.
This marks the end of your 10-day safari in Uganda.
