Overview
Welcome to the spectacular 3 days Akagera National Park Safari an ultimate adventure into the savannah plains of Rwanda. Akagera National Park is famous for being home to the big five animals in Rwanda. These include; lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.
This is in addition to being home to other animals such as giraffes, warthogs and zebras. Taking on an amazing boat cruise at Lake Ihema will be a moment turned into a memory. You will also visit the remains of many Rwandese who died during the 1994 genocide at the Genocide Museum in the city of Kigali.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Akagera National Park
After breakfast or arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet our Rwanda tour guide, he or she will brief you about the 3 days of Akagera National Park Safari. The driver guide will then transfer you to Akagera National Park. You will make all the necessary stopovers while you make an impression that Rwanda is a unique safari destination. Upon arrival, spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Meals: Lunch and Dinner
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the Akagera National Park. This is the only national park in Rwanda that is home to the Big Five animals. You will also see other animals like giraffes, antelopes, warthogs and hyenas. The park is a good birding area as it is home to some African Rift Valley endemics. Return to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise at Lake Ihema. You will see hippos and other water dwellers in the park. Enjoy the tranquillity at the lake before retreating to your lodge for the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali and city tour – Departure
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Kigali for departure. This is the final day of your 3 days Akagera National Park safari, make the most of it. In Kigali, you will visit the Rwanda Genocide Museum and look at the remains of those who succumbed to the bloody revolution of 1994. You may as well visit the local markets for interactions with the local members of the community. The driver will drop you off at the airport or a hotel of your choosing in Kigali.
